DR. DEVIN MARSH

With a background quite different from most other film and broadcasting teachers, Dr. Devin Marsh spent most of his life as a touring and recording musician with his band, Nori Nori, or working in his recording studio, The Chill Lodge where he has composed, recorded and produced for various recording artist, films, commercials, ballets, and dance groups.

He has received degrees in music education, music performance, production and composition. On a Gary Burton Scholarship, Dr. Marsh studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He continued his studies at the University of Miami where he received his Bachelors in Music Education, a Masters in Commercial Music and a Doctorate in Theory and Composition. For the past 26 years he has held teaching positions from elementary to graduate level, including a director position at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. Since all the “Rockstar” positions were full, his path led him to become the director of the internationally award winning AP Mays Media, at The Arthur and Polly May Conservatory of the Arts in Miami, Florida (a small school with a long name and a big personality). Starting with not much more than a hope and a dream, in six years he has, redesigned the Mays Theater and the WMCAtv television studio and established the program into an internationally award winning department of media entertainment technology.
