What is Film and Video? This is the award-winning program that provides you with the skills to work on music videos, TV shows, movie productions, or even your own YouTube channel. It's an immersive and hands-on training program where you will be prepared to write, direct, shoot, and edit your own films.
Have you ever wondered how your favorite shows and videos were made? Here at AP Mays Media, Dr. Marsh will walk you through the entire process. He will teach you all aspects of the industry so that you're prepared to work in front of the camera, behind the camera, or coordinate entire productions. You will even have the opportunity to work alongside some of the best talent in the industry.
At the end of the program, you'll be prepared to begin working in the industry, start your own company, or continue furthering your education. Our students participate in prestigious events and compete against film and video students from around the world.
Their recognition includes winning awards at the district, state, national and international levels at many prestigious competitions, including first place at the All American High School Film Festival.

Learn what it takes to become a reporter, anchor, or live journalist. You will even learn the skills to become a YouTuber or Instagram star.
Behind Camera
Learn how to operate all the high tech gear like 4k cameras, state-of-the-art audio equipment, and special effect lighting. You'll use the same equipment used by top professionals in the industry.
Production Coordination
Learn how to put a production together. Book the talent, scout locations, manage the budget and equipment; organize all the pieces of the puzzle so a production can run smoothly.
